MIKE SODREL Mike Sodrel brings a unique list of life experiences to the subject of government. Before serving in the U.S. Congress, he logged over a million miles driving semis and motor coaches. He still holds a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Born in Louisville and growing up in the projects in New Albany Indiana spending his early days sleeping in a dresser drawer because his parents could not afford a crib. This self-made millionaire has proven to all doubters that tenacity, hard work and ethics can go a long way toward making your place in this world
He was a former Staff Sergeant who was later briefed by military generals as a Member of Congress, and a bank messenger who later served on the Board of Directors of a bank.
His first paycheck came from bagging groceries, and he wound up employing hundreds. He is self-educated in history and philosophy, with a writing style that makes complicated issues easy to understand. His new book “Citizen Sheep, Government Shepherds has just hit the stands and is already generating a great deal of excitement.
Mike and his wife Keta attend Graceland Baptist in New Albany and have served with the Dobson’s in holding the National Day of Prayer in Washington DC. He has appeared on the Mike Huckabee show and is considered to be a true version of the Horatio Alger story. His faith, his tenacity, his focus on being a light in a dark world has made Mike Sodrel a sought after speaker.
We are proud to have Congressman Sodrel come to speak at this year’s Hamilton County Prayer Breakfast.
